Thanks for bringing back those great memories. i believe there is a photo of Beth & me taken at that concert on my web site. Honk did not record Martha & the Vandella’s song “Jimmy Mack,” though we performed it in concert often. The song we did record of M&tV is their smash hit “Heatwave.” That recording is on the Honk “Clay Figures” LP originally on 20th Century, now as a wonderful CD reissue on Hipp-o-select (click on: http://www.hip-oselect.com/scr.public.product.asp?product_id=0dbc9ca5-65aa-8134-6781-e006d219051f ) Honk re-assembled to play on my most recent CD “Renewed Hope.” Honk will be at the Coach House on Sat., July 9, 2011. I was at the Beach Boys, Jessie Colin Young, Honk concert at UCSB in 1975. As all who atteded know it was a fantastic day and venue and of course the BBoys were great as expected, but the song I most enjoyed was Honk performing “Jimmy Mac”. At least that’s what I think I remember. Please tell me I’m not dreaming and where I could find that rendition. My wife and I really enjoyed your music in % Summer stories also. Great music and fond memories. Hope you are well.

“Where is Love” in particular is one i am pleased with. It was a spontaneous performance done in one take, and it does not make me whince to hear it now.
Just looked at your web site. Don’t fully understand, but it looks like a great product. My good friend, Michael Lobbett, is in sales for a company
which manufactures stamping equipment for plywood, sort of label related.
I’m so glad you still love Honk.
Honk will play Coach House in July. Hope to see you there.
HONK also assisted me in recording my latest CD “Renewed Hope.” All the members are still serious about music.

Just wanted to again tell you what a joy it is to listen
to your fine work. You were so kind a while back to burn
a CD of the Honk LP. I was on a walk this morning and was
listening on iPod to your work on Hesitation, Move Me and
Where is Love … your horn sounded so good and still holds
up today.
Just thought you may want to know that the tracks you laid
down years ago are still sweet and appreciated.
